Dear Martin,
I am pleased to inform that the Pye Stereo Radiogram has arrived safely this
morning by Parcel Force.
I have played the system several times this afternoon and the sound quality
is excellent . I must congratulate you for your skill in restoring it to its
original glory.
"You have proved that this Radiogram was built far ahead of
its time" (Ref.:-Your article in Vintage wireless restorations , reads
This Pye 1005 Projection system made in 1960, is well ahead of its time)
I fully agree with you healthy remark. Many Thanks and I appreciate your skill
in the restoration of this system . Wish you all the best in future.

Martin,
Have just set up the TV and used it with the Sky RF lead and a SLx link! I can remotely turn over Sky channels on that 30 year old B&W TV which is something the designers would never have foresaw! The TV is brilliant, many thanks for sorting it out for me, you provided an excellent service ; I will take it back to my folks soon so they can see it working after a gap of 15 or so years. I have ordered dad to find those knobs so that it is complete once more.
Kind regards,Antony
Dear Martin,
Just a quick note to say very many thanks for doing such a superb job on both
the TV set and the radio.
When we got home I connected up the radio and it was perfect, not a crackle
to be heard!!
I soon connected up the TV set and it works brilliantly, I had to use an attenuator
as the output from my modulator unit is pretty powerful, but the picture and
sound quality are superb. The set ran happily and displayed a very good, clear
and stable picture.
I read your letter, thank you. That's really nice that you are going to include
details about it on your website. If you ever need to use the 405-line tape
for any other repairs you are doing please just let me know and I'll be happy
to send it to you.
Thanks again for doing such a brilliant job, I really do appreciate it. If
you'd like me to I'll send you a couple of pictures showing the set in use
and in its surroundings in case they are of use for your article. If you're
ever over this way you'd be most welcome to call in.
All the best,
Peter.
Hi
there Martin,
She's back!
Thanks so much for sorting it out the AVO for me. The readings seem a lot
better.
I recall you saying it's now accurate to 2%, is that +/-1% or +/-2%?
My cheap multimeter gives a 10.49 MegaOhm reading for that resistor.
Have a nice weekend.
Best Regards,
Bobby

Just to let you know; I collected the radio on Christmas Day with no problems.
You have done an excellent job with the renovation. I have errected an external
aerial around the eaves of the house and the selectivity is very good. It
has taken pride of place in th sitting room and it seems strange to hear it
speak again after several decades.
Very many thanks to you for all your hard work and, please also thank your
friend Ian, who was a great help
in arranging the transportation.
Regards,
Derek.
Dear Martin.
Just to let you know the radio arrived about 3.30 this afternoon (very well packed!). I’m very pleased with the 1st class job you have done – I’m listening to the set as I write this. As I mentioned before, will be in touch about another repair job,
Best Wishes,
Tim
Dear Martin
Pleased! I’m absolutely over the moon, it survived the journey very well and looks really great. I threw away those bits in the box that you said were rubbish and the wireless itself sounds as I remembered it all those years ago. (I love the sounds you get as you turn the dial).
I picked up the wireless late on Thursday from Kate and could be found unpacking it at the midnight hour. Unfortunately I was out all day and then again on the evening on Friday (yesterday) and because I’m helping at the local Festival all afternoon and night.
Monday night will see me chilled out and tuned in!
Thanks for the information link – next week I’ll have time to delve further. I’ll be in touch with you very soon, and thanks so very much for restoring Mum and Dad’s wireless to life for me.
Kindest wishes
Hilary

Finally found your house on Sunday and met Marie (many thanks Marie for hanging
around) , got the gram home safely and we are both delighted with it, it looks
fabulous and sounds great we had a listen to it last night. Thank you for
your honesty with the costs, for the effort you put into restoring it, and
your notes. We will have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone we know
who should need your services.
Thanks once again.
Kind Regards
Nigel + Janet
Hi Martin
Radio arrived safe and sound today. What can I say... WOW! You
have done a
terrific job on the case, and the sound is fabulous! If only it could get
Radio 5, it would be perfect ;) Many thanks for a great job well done!
Nick
Dear Martin
I just had to e-mail and tell you how happy I am with the amazing job you
have done on our EKCO 'E' RADIO. As you know this set belonged to my husbands'
grandmother and he had not heard it working in over 30 years. I know it was
supposed to be a surprise 40th birthday gift for him but I was so excited
I just couldn't keep it secret! He was overjoyed to say the least! It means
so much to him to hear this wonderful set again.
We would both like to thank you so much for the exceptional job you did in
bringing this beauty to life again and enabling such an emotional reunion!
With Huge Heartfelt Thanks
